Graeme Graeme Guthrie grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick as a nationally competitive gymnast and martial artist. He began Jazz dance his senior year of high school. However, in university, Graeme picked up Street Dance, i.e. Popping, Locking and B-boying. These immediately became his passion. He furthered his skills dancing with different breakdance crews and Hip-Hop troupes around the Maritimes, occasionally taking trips to New York and LA to compete and take lessons with the originators of these art forms. After graduating from UNB with a BA in Multimedia & Film production, Graeme spent a year teaching breakdance, hip-hop, locking, gymnastics and circus arts full time in Halifax, N.S. While on the East Coast, he also performed with the breakdance crew Lokdown, Step Bruthas and the Atlantic Cirque performance group. Since moving to Toronto in May of 2004, he has performed with breakdance groups such as So Be It Union, Born to Boogie, Fantastic Poppersand was a member of the Toronto Blue Jays' 2005 J-Force. Most recently, Graeme was dancing and acting in the acclaimed musical The Lord of The Rings. |
